The Service Writer/Advisor acts as the liaison between Yacht Care and our customers and vendors. The role is responsible for ensuring the customer’s needs are met by coordinating service and parts transactions including performing cost/time estimates, ordering parts, tracking repairs, and scheduling technicians.


  • Ensure strong customer satisfaction through the successful management of products and service delivery
  • Monitor and maintain customer records to check for regular scheduled servicing and future preventative work
  • Prepare cost estimates which includes: sourcing/logging needed parts and the time needed for repairs
  • Communicate and coordinate with customers and technicians regarding customers’ service/repair requirements
  • Provide updates regarding service/repair costs, parts, work and technicians to customers and managers as required
  • Schedule service technicians to conduct required repairs/service
  • Release repaired equipment to customers with an explanation of the work performed and costs associated to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain excellent relationships with vendors


  • 3+ years experience in a service and/or parts environment such as an auto dealership or service/repair shop (marine industry experience is a valuable asset)
  • You’re a pro at scheduling repairs/service/technicians; parts experience is an asset
  • You’re organized with a problem solving mindset
  • You’re a great communicator and relationship builder with both internal and external customers
  • You’re results driven and action oriented
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace including GQueues is an asset
